Meet Maisa
I started my career in the late 90’s. By 2006-2007, I was a “Lady Boss” entrepreneur, running my own business. As amazing as it was to be a business owner, a mother, and an appraiser, the load was taking it’s toll. I was working 60 to 80 hours a week while raising kids and being heavily involved in church. I kept grinding through, but a change was definitely needed.
At that point, real estate agents were coming to me for advice. They wanted help in determining the value of homes. That’s when it hit me: there was a real need for people who truly understood how to evaluate a home and price it accurately. So I decided it was time to transition into a more managerial roll on the appraisal side and focus 100% of my time to real estate.
I never thought I had the personality to be a real estate agent. In my mind, real estate agents were extroverted—the life of the party. Me? I was the nerd. I enjoyed data, details, and studying a market. I never identified as a salesperson, but I knew I was a market expert and someone who genuinely loved helping people. With extensive knowledge of the Twin Cities Minnesota, I could offer clear, confident guidance. And, let’s be honest, I am opinionated with it comes to all things real estate.
I am grateful for the knowledge I gained as an appraiser. All those years evaluating homes gave me the foundation and expertise I needed to serve my clients well. And to see how the dots eventually connected, even though I never planned it this way, is incredible.
Being an advisor—someone who is an expert of the Twin Cities market, educating clients, and offering thoughtful, well-informed recommendations is what I love about what I do. My goal isn't to persuade, but to guide people through one of the biggest purchases of their lives. I help clients discover neighborhoods that match their desired lifestyle but offer better prices, so they don’t spend more money than necessary. I know what adds worth to a home and what detracts from it, and I offer strategic advice to help maximize that value.
In recent years, I’ve invested heavily in marketing education—learning from coaches and gaining knowledge I consider equivalent to a master’s degree. I don’t just list homes on the MLS. I use a wide range of tools—social media, printed materials, and a mix of online and offline strategies—to maximize exposure and reach the right buyers. With passion, wisdom and determination, my mission is to serve and advise my clients with the highest level of care and professionalism.
